Blenders Gets a Fresh New Look and a Meaningful Mission

The Brief

Blenders Sauce is a family-owned sauce company based in Dublin, Ireland that has been in business for almost 40 years. The company has enjoyed domestic and international growth and has a loyal customer base. Despite this success, Blenders desired to broaden its appeal to existing and new customers and to ensure it continued to stand out in a crowded, competitive market. As a result Blenders Sauce enlisted the help of Billion Studio to undergo a rebranding project.

The Challenge

The primary challenge facing Blenders was its outdated brand image. The company’s logo and packaging were unappealing and did not accurately reflect or express their expertise and dedication in producing professional sauces for food service. The company felt that they lacked a brand personality that their existing and new customers could meaningfully connect with. Plus, they planned to increase their online presence in the coming years, so the new brand identity needed to be suitable for digital formats.

The Solution

Billion Studio worked closely with Blenders to help understand and realise the company’s target customer, mission and values. Based on this information, we developed a new logo, visual identity and packaging design that conveyed a modern, joyful, and premium image. The visual identity feels fresh and optimistic. Putting a stronger emphasis on a new contemporary ‘ingredients’ story was very much at the heart of the new brand identity. This was achieved through a combination of ingredient illustrations, sauce illustrations and photography. Finally, a new stripped back minimal logo replaces the old outdated one. Overall, the new look provides the company with a new refreshed visual energy and codifies how they express themselves in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
